The Med Finals Question Bank Built for NZ & Australia
We couldn't find a question bank that reflected how medicine is actually practised in Aotearoa New Zealand. So we built one.
Preparing for NZ medical finals, we found ourselves using question banks built for the UK or US, full of drugs not funded by PHARMAC, guidelines from NICE instead of BPAC, and clinical pathways that simply don't match what New Zealand doctors do.
So we built our own. MedFinals is a med finals question bank written specifically for New Zealand and Australian medical students in Years 4–6 and as trainee interns. Every question references real NZ clinical guidelines: BPAC, PHARMAC, Health NZ, Starship protocols, and Te Whatu Ora resources.
Questions are written in a clinical vignette style that mirrors what appears in NZ finals: management-focused, evidence-based, and calibrated to the difficulty students actually encounter.
